Lots of passages about God's revenge and vengeance, usually bloody over the top metaphors that look more like Stephen King than Disney. It greatly offends modern woke audiences. But should it?

We read Matt 18 and Jesus' command from a 21st ct. point of view. What were the Jewish writings, some of Jesus' own day, saying about what it looks like to forgive someone who hurt you? You may be very surprised. You will be surprised.
