The prisoner rescue continues, as we focus on Lieutenant Valoigne along with his Captains, Alicio and Galane. We also follow the vampire Lord Natanus Carnager, and the mutant assassin Fugazzi, as they are left completely unaware of the castle's infiltrators.

The day of the attack continues, however we shift perspectives on Myrink and Ahani's activities during the assault. Myrink the Mousling on prisoner rescue duty plots out for everything to go as smooth and bloodlessly as possible. While Ahani continues to go about her foundry duties, as she wasn't given an active role in the mission, neither get what they bargained for.

Kycell makes his way to the Mindas castle on the day of the prisoner rescue. He has one job to do, and whiling doing so, learns more of his Vampiric superior's abilities and knowledge. Lets just hope that doesn't distract him from his side of the mission.

Their window of opportunity to rescue the Mayor's Son has arrived sooner then they thought. The captain of the Morongo Knights is thrilled, having no clue of the betrayal Kycell, Myrink and Mayor Kind have in store during their mission. That is, if the demoniac assassin Fugazzi, and the crown Prince himself haven't prepared for such eventualities.

With the discovery of King Crunturg's penultimate attack on the Rijalisad royalty, Valoigne is convinced Kycell and Mayor Kind are on his side. If they want to succeed in rescuing the kidnapped diplomat, they need to work together. Especially if they want to avoid the awaiting vampiric thralls, mutated Satyr assassins, and a very upset Regent Mother.

We stay in the past for another chapter, as Crunturg takes back his Kingdom and Kycell’s research finally comes to a head as he learns why the Rijalisad Empire scrubbed all history Of the King’s existence!

Kycell continues to sit by the hospitalized Kind's bedside and learn more of the Minotaur King's assault on the Mindas Castle in the past. We also see the fate of a few of the other Castle occupants, while in the Present things in the Kingdom of Goldenirod, and the Palamedese University specifically, come to a broil.

Having received news of Kind the Minotaur awakening from his coma, Kycell and Myrink speed back to fill him in, and to ready plans of retaliation for the Mayor's kidnapped Son.

Now confronted with his subject's enemy back from the dead, Kycell has no choice but to behave as though all is normal. Lord Natanus Carnager tasks him with a new ambition for the library, and we receive some astounding news!
