Leadership is needed in every aspect of life

Leadership is a progression and requires the right foundation 

The foundational building blocks of leadership:

• Block 1: Position 
  • Having the right to lead 
  • Authority comes from position 
  • Focus: maintain control and enforce rules
  • Great leaders do not have to use their position to get things done 
  • You cannot tolerate toxic behavior 
  • Using position should be the last resort, not the first 
•  Block 2: Permission 
  • Using relationships to build trust (don’t fall into people pleasing) 
  • Creating a positive environment where people want to listen to you 
  • Thanking, and showing appreciation to team members 
  • You need to have position before you have permission 
  • “Not everyone is going to like you, but you do need to be likable”
