🥾 Two Marine mustangs and former staff noncommissioned officers walk into The Vault…
But there’s no rank. No ego. Just heart, history, and the kind of friendship forged through fire.

🎙️ This week on Off the Hinges, I’m joined by my good friend and fellow Marine officer, Bry—a woman whose strength humbles me and whose faith reminds me that even in the valley, we are never alone.

🕊️ We recorded this—the 22nd episode of Off the Hinges—on what would’ve been my dad’s 67th birthday. Neither the number nor the date were lost on us. What brought Bry and me together wasn’t a billet or a battlefield, but the kind of pain that carves deep and demands endurance. Both of us have lost someone we love to suicide. And in that shared sorrow, we’ve found a bond anchored in grace, grit, and the will to keep going.

💡 In this conversation, we unpack Endurance—not as a buzzword or a bravado act, but as a virtue. A quiet, fierce, faithful choice to keep showing up, even when life knocks you flat.

☀️ Aria woke up at 04:15 to beat the sunrise to the top of a mountain in Norway and share a Resurrection story with the world. Her enthusiastic sacrifice of sleep was fueled by one thing: she believes God is good, and she wants others to know it too.

📖 After she reads the story of the empty tomb from her children’s Bible, I share a truth she’ll carry for life:
The first person Jesus revealed His identity to—outside His closest disciples—was a Samaritan woman at a well.
The first person He appeared to after rising from the grave was Mary.
Women, honored and chosen. Aria, deeply seen and deeply loved.

🕊️ Enthusiasm comes from the Greek en theos—“in God.”
All our joy, all our passion, all our energy—it’s rooted in Him.

🔥 On this Resurrection Sunday, we remember a Savior who pressed through betrayal, torture, and death with unstoppable love. A Savior who perfectly modeled Victory Through HIRT!
