Welcome to this video on discovering who God is from a Biblical perspective. In this video, we will explore the fundamental characteristics and attributes of God as described in the Bible, and how these can help us deepen our understanding of who God is.
The Bible is the foundational text of the Christian faith, and it offers a wealth of insights into the nature and character of God. According to the Bible, God is the all-powerful and all-knowing creator of the universe, who is infinitely loving, merciful, and just.
One of the most important aspects of God's nature is His Oneness and Personal Revelation as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This means that God has revealed Himself three distinct ways. In Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we can come to know God in a personal and intimate way, and experience the love and grace that He offers.
Another important aspect of God's nature is His holiness and righteousness. God is absolutely perfect and without sin, and He Desires that we also live holy and righteous lives. However, because of our condition of sin and imperfection, we are unable to live a pure and perfect life on our own power and strength. Thankfully, God offers atonement, forgiveness and deliverance through trust and dependence on Jesus Christ, who was killed and crucified on a cross, a Roman execution for criminals, to pay for judgment that we deserve for our rebellion against God (sin), and rose again to show that His death was sufficient in taking our judgment, and that through Him, we may take part in the new world and age to come (The Kingdom of God).
Ultimately, discovering who God is from a Biblical perspective requires a willingness to read and study the Bible, and to seek guidance and wisdom from God, by His Holy Spirit. By immersing ourselves in the teachings of God’s Word (The Holy Bible) and developing a personal relationship with God through prayer and worship, we can deepen our understanding of who God is and experience the transforming power of His love and favor.
Thank you for watching, and we hope this video has been helpful in your journey towards discovering who God is through His Word to us.
