In this episode, we sit down and have a discussion with Mariyah Abdullah about the discriminatory CAA and NRC policies currently being implemented in India. Mariyah is an Indian Muslim rights activist who is very involved with on campus activism. 

In season 3 we discuss how marginalized groups of people in our society have less visibility when it comes to issues that pertain to them. In this episode we discuss the plight of Muslims living in India. Specifically, we discuss how the ruling political party of India has implemented discriminatory laws, and how these laws impact marginalized Indian Muslims. 

We are joined by Heraa Hashmi, founder of Muslims Condemn and the first recipient of the Muhammad Ali Confident Muslim Award. She showcases issues with one-dimensional representation of minority groups in the media and entertainment, the difference between national and local community involvement, and what privileged members of society can do to create a better environment for others, in real life and online.

We are joined by Zeba Khan, a writer on MuslimMatters for over a decade, an advocate for disabled people, and a prominent board member at her mosque. She talks about the importance of low-visibility groups participating in community spaces in real life and online, the importance of women in leadership roles, and what privileged members of society can do to create a better environment for everyone around them.

The theme of season 2 was "Silent Messages". We have discussed the illicit messages being voiced by the marginalized and how we can better empathize with them in order to bring about a positive change within our society. Join us as we wrap up season 2 by interviewing Sheikh Mikaeel Smith. We ask him how we can better implement empathy in our lives to bring a positive change in our society.
