  • Living On The Edge Of War In Kyiv
Tensions were high during Monday’s United Nations Security Council meeting as the United States and Russia clashed over the current crisis in Ukraine. U.S. Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield expressed concerns of a possible Russian invasion, and Russia fought back with claims suggesting the US wants a war. After returning from Kyiv, Fox News Radio foreign correspondent Simon Owen joins the Rundown to talk about how Ukrainians are handling the ongoing threats from Russia, the economic impact the crisis has had on the country, and precautions Ukrainian citizens must take in the event of an emergency.

American workers are still in short supply, despite the Biden administration touting a December jobs report showing the unemployment rate dropped to 3.9%. How can unemployment be so low while American labor is sparse? Moody Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi joins to explain how the unemployment rates reaching lows must be put into context of the depressed labor force participation and he breaks down how the pandemic, sharp increases in retirement rates, and decreased immigration are contributing to a drop in labor participation.

Plus, commentary by member of former President Trump's economic recovery task force, Stephen Moore.

  • Democrats Face Difficult Midterm Prospects
President Biden’s approval rating continues to drop as rising inflation levels, heightened crime rates, and COVID-19 frustration remain prominent worries for millions of Americans. As we look forward to the 2022 midterm election, experts are discussing how these issues could become the driving force behind the Democrats’ losing control of the Senate in November. Co-Founder and President of RealClearPolitics Tom Bevan joins to discuss how the issues facing Americans will impact voters in November, what Republicans are doing to secure success in the midterms, and how the Biden administration could shift tactics to address voters’ concerns.

Justice Stephen Breyer's pending retirement means someone new will likely be on bench this fall to hear a pair of cases that could change or end the use of race-based affirmative action in college admissions. The Supreme Court has ruled narrowly in favor of upholding Affirmative action in the past, but with its six-justice conservative majority hearing the arguments this time, some significant changes to college admission systems could be coming.  Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University Law Professor, a Supreme Court and Constitutional scholar and FOX News Contributor, breaks down the arguments for both sides, what Courts have ruled in the past and what some of the potential outcomes could be.

Plus, commentary by former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, host of the Jason in the House podcast.

  • FOX News Rundown EXTRA: Is 'Hillary Clinton 2024' The Democrats Best Hope?
President Biden enters his second year in office with low approval numbers and increasing questions over whether he should run for re-election in 2024.
According to a recent FOX News survey, 60% of people don't plan on voting for President Biden if he decides to run.
He has said he'll be running with Vice President Kamala Harris on the ticket, but that hasn't quelled the speculation.
Earlier this week, Mark Penn, former Clinton advisor, joined host Dave Anthony on The Rundown to discuss why President Biden continues to struggle and the likelihood he will be replaced on the ticket by a Democrat like former Sec. Hillary Clinton.
The pollster looked at who in the Democratic party could be popular enough to win in 2024 and whether or not former President Trump could win again.
Due to time limitations, we could not include all of the interview in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire conversation with former Clinton advisor Mark Penn and hear more of his take on the politics of the day and who we may see running for the White House two years from now.
