Joining Bill in the studio for the first show of 2026 was Jim Danby, making a welcome return to the show. Jim played a great set of 8 original songs, some serious and some comical, including a Happy New Year song he'd written on Thursday 1st. Butter-fingers Bill managed to somehow catch a button which mute not only one of the playback channels but also the live stream, too, before full silence for the last 20 mins of the show. However, for this podcast a few songs have been added, including a song that Bill wrote the lyrics for and Jim wrote the music and recorded it, the rather appropriately-named Techno-Illogical Blues.

Joining Bill in the studio this week was Chris Kendall and Chris Martin, both making a welcome return to the show. The plan was for them to perform two songs each per hour, however, after being on air for 45 minutes there was a power cut, which blacked out most of the town as well as a village over a mile away. The cut happened just as Chris K was ending his 2nd song, but poor old Chris M only performed one track, and that was an instrumental, so we never even heard him sing! We then sat in the studio lit by torches on our phones and chatted, and ate cheese and fruit cake, so was a quite pleasant night all in all.

Joining Bill and Mike in the studio this week was Strangeways escapee Kieran "Mr Ed-Gar" Doyle making a welcome return to the show. Kieran performed a great set of original songs - some we've not heard before, and for the live stream Mike did a great product placement of various goods much to everyone's amusement. We all munched our way through some excellent pizza, too.
