In which Dorothy and her companions come upon the road to the Emerald City and joyfully reunite with Tik-Tok, the clockwork man, and his feathered friend Billina, who bears delightful news. Together they journey towards the shining tin castle of the Tin Woodman, their hearts light with anticipation of the grand birthday celebration soon to come.

In which Dorothy and her companions bravely cross the treacherous Deadly Desert by means of a sand-boat, only to meet with a most dramatic and unplanned landing upon the rocks beyond. Though shaken and somewhat dishevelled, they find themselves intact and resolved to seek out the inhabitants of the mysterious land that lies before them.

In which Dorothy and her companions, weary and hungry, discover a refreshing oasis beside a perilous desert that no living creature can cross, leaving them quite uncertain of their path forward. Fortunately, with the summoning of the industrious Johnny Dooit—who swiftly constructs a magical sand-boat—they find a promising means to continue their journey toward the Land of Oz.

In which the rescued company find themselves cornered by the peculiar two-faced Scoodlers and must endure being led into a vast cavernous dome where an enormous iron kettle ominously hangs ready to boil. Their resourceful companion devises a clever plan involving swapped heads to facilitate a daring escape across a perilous bridge, sending the bewildered creatures into a tumbling disarray.
