Sylvia O’Connor grew up poor in a small town in Louisiana. At age 19, she left Louisiana for the first time and headed to Detriot. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree and started in what would become a successful 30-year career in the health care industry. She was also an adjunct professor in allied health. Proving that it is never too late, she has now ventured into entrepreneurship by forming her own company Sylvia O’Connor SOAR LLC to do speaking and training.
