Deputy Chief Summers and Chief Cochran discuss the hiring process and the challenges of hiring police officers in the current environment.  Sgt. Povinelli goes into detail about the process once an applicant is selected.

Chief Probation Officer, Angela Morris, speaks with Chief Cochran about probation's role in the Johnson County criminal justice system.  

Wayne Fancher, Stephen Dishinger, Hannah Keller, and Ashley Mead of Turning Point Domestic Violence Support join Chief Cochran to discuss all of the ways they help prevent domestic violence and support individuals going experiencing domestic violence.  

Judge Peter Nugent of Superior Court 2 and Brandi Kirkendall, Court Administrator, sit down with Chief Cochran.  Judge talks about what got him interested in law.  A bulk of the conversation circled around Superior Court 2's re-entry program.  Please listen through and learn about all of the great things the re-entry program offers the community.

The director for Franklin Parks and Rec, Chip Orner, joins Chief Cochran to discuss various aspects of his role as Parks Director.  Chip gets deep into the business side of things and explains a lot about the behind the scene of the parks department, the parks, and the pool.

Todd and Billy Bemis of the Bemis Group sit down with Chief Cochran and discuss how they got started in developing in Franklin and how their plans of future expansions, specifically the Newkirk Square condos, townhomes, and retail district coming to the south side of town.  

Guest Kim Smith, the Executive Director of Johnson County Senior Services and one of her dispatchers, Donna, sit with Chief Cochran and discuss a multitude of topics surrounding their service to the elderly.  Kim gives gratitude toward all of her volunteers and supporters.  She also gives information for future supporters and how she can be contacted.

Tammi Hickman and Dave Penoff of CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, stop by FPD to speak with Chief Cochran about their roles at CASA and the service they provide to juveniles in various parts of the justice system.  Tammi explains how to become a CASA volunteer and Dave explains what it means to be a CASA volunteer.

Chief sits down with Heather Dougherty, 4-H Extension Educator at Purdue Extension Johnson County and Brian Young, of the Johnson County Fair Board.  Both Heather and Brian, who work closely together in their respective roles, speak  to the 4-H contests, 4-H programs, and intricate details of hosting the fair.  Brian also speaks about The Wall That Heals, a reproduction of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC , that will be at the fairgrounds, open to the public 24 hours a day from 06/03/2021 to 06/06/2021.
