Is the Old Testament a Hinderance? (Critiquing Andy Stanley's Book "Irresistible")

In this video a couple friends of mine discuss an article review that was reviewing the book "Irresistible" by Andy Stanley. We try to give the article a fair shake but what we come to realize is that the article has a lot of bias and prejudice against Andy Stanley. Does that make Stanley's book right? Is the premise of Stanley's book that one needs to reject the Old Testament and remove it completely from our witnessing because some see it as a barrier to salvation?

After interviewing Dr. Lynn Wilder, I received a comment from a viewer that claimed the picture isn't painted clear as far as Mormon missions trips is concerned. And that "if you want to know the truth about the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, ask someone who actually knows what they're talking about."

9) I have friends whose parents are atheists, and no matter the attempts to witness, they seem close-minded, some claiming that intellect rejects God. What word of advice would you give my friends in that situation of unbelieving parents and their witness to them?
