Just imagine, you're a freelancer and you feel stuck? Sound familiar? Carli Gribov (my sister!) joins me on this episode to break down how to find your inner leader, recognizing and controlling your inner critic so it doesn't control you, and identifying and putting a name to your inner leader and how to channel it when you need it most. It's an episode full of golden nuggets....now quick, go listen.
IM BACK!!! With a very, very special episode. I sit down with my associate, Momoko Fritz, who has been working under me since August. We talk about why Momoko came to associate for me, how it's going, our road blocks and successes, and how to approach an associate mindset if you do decide to expand your team. This episode is so beneficial for anyone looking to grow their business and relinquish trust to another person working under your brand. Momoko, what would I do without you!
I sat down with Daily Crunch Snacks, a family owned business based in Michigan and Nashville run by Diane and Laurel. They are both smart business owners who happen to run a business together AND be related! We talk about their roles in the company, how Diane originally got started and when Laurel came into the picture, and how to maintain a healthy and balanced working relationship between two people going after the same mission.

I'm joined today with Alex Matteo from Pull It Together Podcast to talk about community building and networking, and how to go about it in a real and authentic way. Now more than ever it is important to be tapping into your network and seeing how we can help one another, and Alex has some real wisdom to share on this! Enjoy!
I am back with a solo episode this week! I thought it would be nice to check in with you all and see how you were doing and also inform you on ways in which I've pivoted my business to stay afloat for 2020. A lot of this has to do around productivity and thinking big picture, two things that are my weakness. I hope you find this one humbling and motivating!
Ariel Upton, co-founder of The TODAY I DID IT RIGHT Approach and Self-Connection Journal, is back for another episode. Today we talk all about our experience with solo time during quarantine and how we've gotten to know ourselves and our businesses better. We also touch on her Morning Rightness weekly group writing and reflection sessions and how powerful they have been for her community and herself. We both get real with our personal and work selves, how to master being still and let go of planning. This is one episode you don't want to miss!

Today I am joined with attorney Ian Roven and we talk through contracts, and how it's so important, especially in these times. We break down some of my contract, what I could improve on, and tips for freelancers on. how to protect themselves in the time of the pandemic.

Today I wanted to check in with some of my fellow Chicago photographers and see how they were holding up both personally and professionally throughout this time. As freelancers, we don’t really have the luxury of having co-workers to zoom with on a daily basis or talk strategies for the upcoming quarter. It can be a pretty lonely and individual journey as freelancers. So this was my way of checking in on my colleagues and seeing how they were doing and what the highs and lows are for each of them individually.
In today's episode I catch you up on everything that's been going on with my business since Covid-19 hit, and ways that myself and freelancers alike can stay positive and productive throughout this time. I have my very own producer of the show, Sonja Garelick of Jot Projects, on to help me navigate this new and crazy world we're living in.
I especially loved this episode, and I hope you do too!
For more inspiration on what to do during this time, head over to Sonja's blog post and take a deeper dive into her strategies.
Hello, we are LIVE from The Hoxton Hotel in Chicago IL! This was a pre-recorded speaking event I gave a few months back and I thought a LOT of what I talk about would be helpful for those of you reassessing your websites and portfolio.
If you'd like to receive the slideshow that goes along with this episode, it's $10 and you can Venmo @alisha-siegel with your email in the subject line along with 'Hoxton episode' and I will send it on over!
ENJOY!
