Rowan Sanderson sits down with veterinarian Dr. Barbara Royal, star of Netflix’s Pet Fooled. Through her experience caring for zoo and wildlife animals, Barbara developed an approach to medicine that aims to give what animals would need in the wild—an approach that she saw was lacking during her time working with dogs and cats.

Pet Fooled “exposes what is wrong and what can be right in the pet food industry”. Through the show, pet owners learn what goes on behind the curtains of the pet food industry, and can then become more informed when they make decisions regarding their dog’s or cat’s diet.

Barbara’s aim is to have as many dog owners as possible participate in a “fresh food revolution” where practices such as raw feeding and low-carb diets become common sense. By tweaking diet alone, obesity and a host of other health problems will instantly cease for dogs everywhere.
