Week 6, Thursday Night Football, the Eagles play the Giants in the Meadowlands. The new Qb Jaxon Dart and his sidekick in the backfield Cam Skattebo wreak havoc on the Eagles who are currently dealing with conflict and dissension in the locker room. They are saying all the right things but this 0-2 record in the last two games says different. On Sunday Morning, the Broncos took on the Jets in London England, and the defensive battle left the New York Jets a broken offense. They compiled a total of 82 yards for the game. You read that right, 82 yards. The Jets dropped to 0-6...

Week 4 of the NFL. Part 2. Recap now Thursday Night Football on Prime - Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals. Sam Darnold played an efficient game and got the win. In our opinion Marvin Harrison Jr. needs more touches. Two Monday Night Football Games took place with the New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos. The Jets started the game pounding the ball in the running game from one end of the field to the other, but they failed to score turning the ball over as they crossed the goal line. Their defense is still one of the best in the league, but they couldn't prevent the loss27-21. Tyreek Hill is out for the season with a gruesome injury to his knee. The Broncos blew out the Bengals 28-3. I know it's early but the Broncos seem to be positioning themselves for a playoff run. 

Which school has the best receivers in the league, L.S.U. or Ohio State? Is there another school we missed who has at least three receivers making their mark in the NFL? Let us know!!!

Shout out to Lewis Hamilton, the F1 driver for Ferrari who lost his best friend Roscoe. We love Roscoe and send our prayers to Lewis Hamilton.

This week in the NFL brought a lot of excitement again. Pittsburgh and Minnesota met in Dublin on Sunday morning and gave a good show for American style football. Aaron Rodgers hit DK Metcalf on a 80 yard strike to give the Steelers the lead that they would not give back. Carson Wentz had 350 yards on 30-46 with 2 TD but also 2 INTs. The Falcons handled the Commanders, Michael Pennix Jr is proving to be the new Lefty in Atlanta. The Giants gave Jaxson Dart his first start and got in the winning column against the 3-0 LA Chargers. The Bills and Eagles remained undefeated now standing at 4-0. There was so much action we had to cut this episode into two parts. Stay tuned for Part 2 release.

It was a very exciting week in the NFL. The freshman pod went LIVE on YouTube this week and the games were  off the chain. Blocked kicks, pick 6s, defensive excellence across the board. Unexpected blowouts, backup quarterbacks making noise. This was a followup video after the LIVE ended because the games were so good, we HAD to come back on. Fresh Mint Pod does a Review for Week 1 in the NFL and a Preview of Week 2. The Micah Parsons trade is having an impact in the first two weeks of the season. We had a spitting incident and a nose dive by the Baltimore Ravens versus the Buffalo Bills. Some of the young Qbs are making noise but the Bears Caleb Williams is not improving even with Ben Johnson at the helm. As we go into Week 2, can the other young guns continue to trend? Josh MIntz likes the Ravens vs. Chargers in the AFC Championship Game. Chiefs and Bills fans are in an uproar...!! It's still early in the season but these teams are starting to trend in the wrong direction. I mistakenly said the Pack wore their Winter Storm Warning Whites in Week 1 versus the Lions. That was wrong they wore the whites versus the Commanders. Either way, same results.

It's a New Season and Season 3 is starting later the usual. The Fresh Mint Pod Crew looks at the off-season turmoil that threatened success vs. failure for three teams looking to have successful seasons. The Bengals, Commanders and Cowboys needed to settle contract disputes with star players. All but the Cowboys did so. We then preview the Week 1 of the NFL Season and there is one Super Bowl Prediction, (ALREADY???) UPDATE:

The Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, Paris, France. The Summer Olympics were a joyous celebration of athletic greatness. The USA reigned supreme on the basketball court and dominated gymnastics as well as the track and field. The women took the gold on the soccer field. There were a number of controversies that affected the outcomes of events. No conspiracies but there are grumblings under the surface that I hope one day are revealed. We saw some very enjoyable events and some amazing outcomes in sports we never paid attention to before. But the Olympics were fun and we will share our choices of the best events that we watched. What did you enjoy most?

Inside The NBA on TNT has been a standard bearer for basketball analysis of high profile games during the season and playoffs, for almost thirty five years. Ernie Johnson Jr. has been the host since 1990, Kenny "The Jet" Smith since 1998, Charles Barkley since 2000 and Shaquille O'Neal since 2011. They are writers and producers on the show as well and have built an amazing following over the years. It is disappointing to hear that the league, who gave them five days to match an offer received from Disney, NBC and Amazon Prime Video, did not accept the offer from TNT's parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery. Inside The NBA is an institution, garnering 19 Emmys over the years for their work in Sports Broadcasting. There will be future conversations about a coming law suit by TNT against the NBA to appeal the decision. Look out for the New Edition tribute to Inside The NBA by yours truly. Do you think the NBA should bring the Inside Guys back??

Russell Westbrook is traded to the Utah Jazz for guard, Kris Dunn. He is then released and is headed to the Denver Nuggets to replace the departed shooting guard, Kentavious Caldwell Pope, KCP. The Clippers meanwhile have lost Paul George in free agency and now Russ is gone. How well will their fan base sleep this off season with questions also facing Kawhi Leonard who has left Team USA, who is preparing for the Olympics. How much does Russ have in the tank to help the Nuggets return to prominence and get back to first, the conference finals and then the NBA finals and another title? What are your thoughts?

NBA Free Agency opened July 1, 2024. The Sixers  got their man, Paul George. His Clipper teammate James Harden resigns with the Clippers. Knick fans were surprised to learn that center Isaiah Hartenstein signed with the Thunder, who also traded for Alex Caruso. Hartenstein's former teammate OG Anunoby resigned with the Knicks. Kentavious Caldwell Pope signed with the Magic after winning a ring with the Nuggets a year ago. Klay Thompson, a four time champion with the Warriors is headed to the Mavericks in a sign and trade. After we got off the air, DeMar DeRozan completed a sign and trade to go to the Kings. Harrison Barnes goes to the Spurs, and Chris Duarte is headed to the Bulls with picks. Alot more going on and we plan on covering it as we get more information. For now, enjoy!
