Additionally, in retrospect, this is where the FNPS really started to find its footing thematically. Exploring the history of a specific artist and the way his work affected other musicians across a number of other genres got my brain rolling in a new direction.

On this week's show, really cool cover versions of great tracks. Technical issue with the mic, however; in retrospect it's likely that the buffer for the mic wasn't set high enough, which causes the crackle and pop you'll hear here. Sorry about that :(

Also, this is the first show with the new mic, and new software! At this point, I stopped using BUTT and moved to Mixxx. New software means growing pains, and there are some odd moments here and there because I kept forgetting to push the talk button, which would create echoes due to the latency on the mic and the output. Chalk it up to a learning curve ;)

On this week's episode, an ode to music; songs that'll make you boogie. Still the basic setup, so yeah, in addition to hearing my cat G yelling in the background, you'll also hear me singing. Sorry about that :P

On this episode of the FNPS, personal theme songs as submitted by friends. Still working with the open-air setup, but I think the mic was on its way by this point!

The first episode of the Friday Night Parkdale Special! I had a week of lockdown to figure out how to do this, so the original tech setup was very much cobbled together: An older HP laptop, its onboard mic, Spotify, and BUTT as the broadcasting tool. The audio is by no means professional, but everyone starts somewhere, and the main objective was to play some music for my friends so we could still feel connected in a tumultuous time.

This show's theme is Canadian tunes, but I promise two things: No Bryan Adams, and no Sarah McLachlan sad-animals song.
