In today's episode of Makna Talks, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama talks about being locked up, conversations with the Almighty, and starting a band.
Basuki Tjahaja Purnama is an Indonesian businessman, politician, and former governor of Jakarta. But to some, he is a hero. On 27 September 2016, while introducing a government project to citizens of the Thousand Islands, he said some citizens would not vote for him because they were being "threatened and deceived" by those using the verse of a Quran, which leads to Islamist mass protest that took place on 4 November 2016 in Jakarta and led to his imprisonment. Today he is a free man and more than ever, this is the new start of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.
