God called His people to repentance in the first two chapters of Joel, as His judgment was coming to them. But in chapter 3, we see how God not only defends Israel but also brings ruin to the nations that mistreated His Chosen People and divided the Holy Land. As we conclude our 3-week study of the book of Joel this week, you’ll find clarity in biblical prophecy and confirmation of God’s promise to bless Israel and those who bless Israel too!

Sound the alarms! Blow the shofar! God’s major message in Joel 2 was a warning to Israel that the Day of the Lord was coming. Chris speaks about this shofar blast as being a warning both of the Babylonian invasion and of the prophetic battle of the Tribulation. Great judgment was coming to Israel, but even then, God was making a way for His Chosen People to return to Him.
