The Fright Crew

This week on The Fright Crew, we decided to pull Huesera: The Bone Woman from 2022 directed by Michelle Garza Cervera out of the Body Bag!

We talk about Courtney's experience seeing this at 2022's Telluride Horror Show film fest and what the audience experience with it was like. We also talk about how deeply saddening this film is to us. We are both also super split on the ending of the film as to what it could all mean.

Also, if any of our audience are pregnant, we love and support you! You do you!

The current theme is David Lynch, and this week for our final installment into the theme, we decided to pull Eraserhead from 1977 directed by, of course, David Lynch out of the Body Bag!

We talk about what this films themes touch on and how bonkers it all is. We also talk about how good this film looks and how great all of the practical effects look and that we now understand why it took David Lynch so long to make it.

Also, Stay Sperm Wormy!

The current theme is David Lynch, and this week Jensen decided to pull Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me from 1992 directed by, of course, David Lynch out of the Body Bag!

We talk about how weird this dang movie is and how much the show actually explains a ton of all of the things that Jensen was incredibly confused about during the watch.

Also, something happens on the podcast that has never happened before!

This month's theme is David Lynch, and this week Courtney decided to pull Blue Velvet from 1986 directed by, of course, David Lynch out of the Body Bag!

We talk about how odd yet brilliant of a director that David Lynch is and how uncomfortable his films can feel. We also talk about how unhinged Frank is as a film villain. Maybe even one of the craziest we've ever seen honestly.

Also, who else watches POV porn like Courtney's Mom?

This week on the podcast, Erika and Roshane from Homies of Horror join us as we all decided to pull Skinamarink from 2023 directed by Kyle Edward Ball out of the Body Bag!

We talk a LOT about the length of this film and we also directly compare it the short that it was originally based off of Heck (2020) and how quite possibly, that was the length that it should have stayed at. We also talk about why these films continuously need to be made though, and why that is so important.

Also, we just want to thank Homies of Horror for hopping on with us once again, the 2 of them are absolute gems of humans and you need to go and support all that they do!

The current theme is A Knight's Tale, and this week we decided to pull Army of Darkness from 1992 directed by Sam Raimi out of the Body Bag!

We talk about how everyone seems to always compare this movie to Jensen's fav Braindead and how he disagrees. We also break topic for once and talk about different forms of Hot Pockets.

Also, who wants a cum soaked shirt?

The current theme is A Knight's Tale, and this week, Courtney decided to pull The Green Knight from 2021 directed by David Lowery out of the Body Bag!

We talk mostly about how Dev Patel is a human and how beautiful this movie looks. We also try to break down the plot and how modern the theme of it still may or may not be.

Also, big 'ol load of cum.

The current theme is A Knight's Tale, and this week, Jensen decided to pull Tombs of the Blind Dead from 1972 directed by Amando de Ossorio out of the Body Bag!

We talk about one very very important thing that made this film less than perfect easy to say. But we also talk about some of the scenes that were giving us Argento vibes for sure.

Also, I guess that Spain didn't believe in stunt doubles in the 70's, but DAMN!

This week on the podcast, Lauren and Caleb from Swapping Horror Stories join us and they decided to pull Significant Other from 2022 directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen out of the Body Bag!

We talk about Caleb being new to podcasting and we talk about how this movie is, at least in our opinion, a tad bit underrated compared to what we think about it.

We also touch on Jensen's Wart Trauma. I'm in therapy, I'm okay.

The current theme is Normie Month, where we are taking a quick break from Horror and just talking about some of our favorite Dramas. This week, we decided to pull one of our all time favorites 10 Things I Hate About You from 1999 directed by Gil Junger out of the Body Bag!

We have Jensen's wife Chanelle on for this one to help us talk about such a perfect film. For all of us, this film is just comforting and incredibly quotable, maybe too quotable honestly.

But tell me, do I have a dick on my face? I do, don't I?
