  • Kate O'Connell: Beyond the Imprint
How can an understanding of the interconnectedness of all things lead to powerful life changing breakthroughs? Therapist Kate O'Connell, LPC, explores helpful insights from her new book Beyond the Imprint: A New Modality for Mental Health Practitioners and Those Seeking Their Help.
With the advent of Quantum Physics, a new paradigm within the field of counseling is emerging that acknowledges we are intimately interconnected with our environment and everything in it.  We are not separate from what is occurring "outside" of ourselves.
Beyond the Imprint therapy creates a safe therapeutic experience which allows for the exploration and identification of patterns of distorted self idenity, behavior and relationships, clearing the way to the actualization of one's true self and one's truest desires.
Kate O’Connell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a private practice in Charlottesville, VA, addressing the therapeutic needs of children, adolescents, adults and families. Her training in Intensive-in-Home Services, Addiction, Family Systems Therapy and Energy Medicine enables her to facilitate positive outcomes for her clients.  In addition to her clinical training, Kate has studied and trained with many different teachers and healers from a diversity of spiritual frameworks and healing modalities, allowing her to work with the people she assists in an expansive, holistic way.

  • Pia Orleane, PhD: Sacred Retreat
Pia Orleane, Ph.D., reflects on the wisdom in her new book Sacred Retreat: Using Natural Cycles to Recharge Your Life.  When we honor our innate need for rest and retreat, we unlock the keys to restoring balance to our emotions and health, ease tensions between the sexes, heal our fractured culture by honoring divine feminine consciousness and re-embrace natural cycles.
Pia combines an exploration of ancient traditions with her own groundbreaking research to provide a meaningful template for our lives today.  All of life is interwoven into a living system of cycles, from Earth's seasons to the enzymatic pathways that provide energy to a cell.  When we become comfortable with our own cyclic nature, we discover pathways to balance, healing our world and our hearts.
Pia Orleane, Ph.D., is an author, lecturer and former practicing psychologist.  The recipient of an international award from Saybrook University for her research on the importance of natural cycles for life, she travels the world giving talks on the value of the divine feminine and natural cycles.

Visionary researcher, speaker and author Suzy Miller will share groundbreaking wisdom from her The Journey Back to Love series.  Suzy will also revisit the wisdom in her pivotal book AWESOMISM!: A New Way to Understand the Diagnosis of Autism.
We are given one opportunity after another to love beyond what we thought we could love. The program for these opportunities came with us into this human incarnation. A former Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, with a Masters Degree in Education, Suzy pioneered a shift in the perception of autism from an individual “disorder” to a collective revolution in human consciousness and has been playing in the field of leading edge consciousness ever since.

  • Kavitha M. Chinnaiyan, MD: Shakti Rising
Kavitha M. Chinnaiyan, MD, reveals how we can transform a path of suffering to one of sweetness, joy and beauty, based on her new book Shakti Rising: Embracing Shadow and Light on the Goddess Path to Wholeness.
The pursuit of contentment is an innate part of the human experience, arising from a fundamental sense of lack or inadequacy - all the things we believe to be wrong with us when we compare or judge ourselves. In our search for peace and happiness, we may find ourselves fighting the shadows within us, trying to repress or disown certain qualities, especially our anger, violence, discomfort, craving, and disappointment. But in order to stop this fight, we must expand our understanding beyond the dualities of good versus bad, right versus wrong, and beautiful versus ugly, and accept the parts of ourselves we’ve tried to deny.
Kavitha shows us how the wisdom of the Mahavidyas, the ten wisdom goddesses who represent the interconnected darkness and light within all of us, can assist us on this transformational journey, in a highly relevant way today.
Kavitha M. Chinnaiyan, MD, is a cardiologist who blends her medical expertise with her knowledge of yoga, tantra, and the Direct Path to help patients discover the end of suffering.  She is an integrative cardiologist at Beaumont Health System, and associate professor of medicine at Oakland University Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, MI.
