When the temple curtain was torn in two, it really changed everything. This is just a gentle reminder of what that "Everything" is that really changed.

With the news of the UMC attempting to alter the word of God to fit their needs, I ask the question if you are willing to give them up? But I also take us to Ecclesiastes 8 for a parallel look at what is going on in this world.

Ephesians 4:22-24 tells us to renew our minds in Spirit and put off the old self. What does this mean for us? Can we really do it? Yes we can.

Deuteronomy 4:2 tells us to not add to nor take away from the Bible. But the Jews did and it and many, if not all, mainline Christian denominations have done it also. Why do we do this? Isn't the word of God enough?

2 Corinthians 4 finishes with a verse about things seen and unseen. Seeing is believing sometimes, but seeing what we cannot see with our eyes takes faith and that takes us a lot further. Show Note: I will be taking a 1 week break on April 24, 2024. See you again May 3, 2024.

We compensate all of the time for physical reasons.  Have a sore foot, you will favor the other. But when we compensate for spiritual matters, that is where we may fall short. 

Trying to determine the faith of someone can be a slippery slope.  Yes, we will know they are Christians by their love and if we see the fruit of the spirit, but all have sinned and fall short of God's glory.  Passing judgment on someone is forbidden if we look at appearances only.
