Episode #132 of The Fully Engaged Life. In this week's episode, Robert finishes examining the phrase; "Seeing what cannot be seen, hearing what cannot be heard, knowing what cannot be known" by explaining that this refers to a sense of experiencing that which is beyond the capacity of the mind. When you reach the edge of the mind and stare into the abyss... you experience true spirituality. This place, beyond mind, is where real spirituality begins. The mind's a useful tool, a wonderful servant, but has limitations. Knowing what cannot be known is beyond these mental limitations, it defies explanation, and must be experienced to truly be "known." Knowing something within the context of spirituality means that it's a deep meaning It is not known through thought, analytical comprehension, or some other function of the mind; but instead, through direct experience. This is the difference between thinking and experiencing and this leads us to knowing what cannot be known.
