Do you offer programs that are not accredited by the ABFSE?
Will my credits transfer to another school if I continue to pursue a higher degree or transfer to another mortuary school?
How long is your program?
What prerequisites do I need and how do I get them?
What is your part time/full time enrollment requirements?
How does failing a class affect my graduation?
What is your current enrollment?
What is your job placement rate?
Does the school meet licensure in your state?
Here are questions to ask yourself about the required subjects:
What is your experience with these or similar subjects?
What time will you have to devote to the ones you are not familiar with?
Does the school you are interested in offer the crematory operator micro credential
Basic required activities for graduation:
Questions to ask about the graduation requirements
When does the school I am looking at require them and how long do I have?
How do the schools I am interested in facilitate these?
What is my access to a funeral home to support me if necessary?
Am I flexible with my schedule to meet these requirements?
Questions to ask about your learning delivery method (online or in-person)
How will my current life be affected by scheduled classes?
Am I comfortable with the use of technology?
Am I an independent learner?
How much interaction with a professor do I require?
Can I schedule enough time to complete my work independently?
