The Funny Thing Is

It took me a couple of months to post this episode. For many reasons. One, I have my hands full with a newborn and because he was born a micro preemie, we have been in the newborn phase for 6 months. Two, I didn't think I was emotionally prepared to handle any negative responses. I was too raw. But I'm ready now.

I am ready because today, Matty weighs 16 pounds. We have been able to wean down from 3 doctor's appointments a week to the more routine check ups and I feel like my chest pain is getting quieter, making room for more joy.

So here is my story. Our story. His story.

On today's episode of The Funny Thing Is Podcast, I go over my previous judgements and concerns of GLP-1s and then how they helped me thrive through my autoimmune disease. I also talk about how when judging things, people or experiences we need to be careful because karma can deliver a healthy dose of reality, forcing you to come face to face with the very thing you were judging. Like me and Gluten Free people (I am one now).

One thing that was not mentioned that people keep asking me about was how much weight I lost. I lost 7 pounds in one year, but like I mention, I was on the lowest dose and never increased.
