Due to an increase in Federal funding available for passenger rail, Madison has been identified as a future home for an Amtrak station. The an important connection location to expand transportation access across our state. The city is now seeking community input on the proposed locations for an Amtrak station.
Transportation Planner Liz Callin joins Ali Muldrow on A Public Affair to talk about the station location, go over the logistics of the future train, and answer several callers’ questions.
Residents can chime in with their opinions at two upcoming meetings. An in-person meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 30th from 5pm to 7pm at Madison Municipal Building, Room 215. A virtual meeting will be on Tuesday, February 6th from 6pm to 7:30pm on zoom: register here.
