• [05:57] Cloud is basically renting a computer and power from someone else regularly. Multi-cloud uses multiple public clouds. If you're using Amazon and Google, you're multi-cloud. Hybrid cloud or hybrid IT would also then incorporate your on-premises private cloud. Serverless is function-as-a-service, where you deploy this function somewhere else, it's only going to run once in a while, and it's cheap.
  
  
• [10:45] Cloud 1.0 was the first version, which included a server, some networking, and storage. Cloud 2.0 was when the IaaS vendors started delivering differentiated services. Cloud 3.0 is more about turning that into a platform, and IaaS vendors provide different services for the developers to hook into.
  
  
• [14:35] More than 90% of computers' workloads are done in the cloud today, and that's because you can't compete with the cloud. It's not on cost or agility but on scale, reach, and business continuity.
  
  
• [21:44] Cloud computing has witnessed several notable advancements in recent times. Firstly, there is a heightened focus on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and how cloud providers are contributing to its growth. Secondly, there is a renewed emphasis on infrastructure improvements to enhance the speed and efficiency of various cloud-based technologies.
