In this episode I'm exploring Idea 2 from my Manifesto for a Brighter Future - Stay Healthy.
To build a brighter future is going to take our time and energy. So it's vital that we try to ensure that we have as much of both as possible. The best investment you'll ever make in yourself is to live a healthy life.
In this episode I talk about:
A lot of this is based on my own personal experiences and experiments that I share in the episode.
I hope you enjoy it and do let me know your thoughts!
Last week I introduced the ten ideas that make up my Manifesto for a Brighter Future. In this episode I'm exploring Idea 1: Be Yourself.
If we're going to build a brighter future for us all, it's going to take all of us working together.
To do this effectively then it's vital that we each understand our own unique skills, gifts and abilities (our "superpowers") and how we can use these to help everyone else.
In this episode I talk about:
I mention the 16 Personalities test and it can be found here:

I don't have any affiliation to the site, but it's one I use and have benefited from over the years.
When I began working on this project, I started to create what I'm calling my "Manifesto for a Brighter Future".
It's a simple guide, a set of ten ideas, that will help us all to work towards the brighter future that we want to create.
The ten ideas are:
In this episode, I outline what I mean by each of these points. I'll expand on each of them in future episodes and even plan to write it up in the form of a short book too (very much a work in progress!)
I'll try and open a Q&A here on the podcast so that you can let me know what you think. Please be kind and constructive!
Thanks and I hope you enjoy the episode!
It's a first for the podcast this week as I did my first interview!
For many of us, one of the most important things we have to think about for the future are our careers. Working with a sense of purpose, making the most of our skills and abilities, will be essential if we're to build a brighter future for us all.
Mark Crossfield is a career coach who I've known for some time. He helps people who are feeling stuck to make the shift to career paths that better fit their abilities and values.
In this fascinating interview, Mark talks about:
I really enjoyed doing this interview as Mark really knows his stuff!
The quote Mark referenced from Bono is: " You can disagree on everything but still work together on one thing... if that one thing is important enough."
There's a cameo contribution from Autumn, one of my two dogs towards the end too...
Mark's "Books for a Brighter Future":
His "Song for a Brighter Future":

If we want to build a brighter future for us all, we'll need great leaders to help us get there. To show us a vision and guide the way to realising it.
But we don't see many of the right kind of leaders in the world today!
In this episode, I'll cover:
You can find Jerry Colonna's stuff here and I do recommend you take a look:

In an age of global problems, we cannot solve them by withdrawing into smaller and smaller groups. But there's a powerful, evolutionary reason why humans want to do this.
In this episode, I'll cover:
As ever, I hope you find it helpful and informative.

AI. Everyone is talking about it. Not many people really understand it.
This is a bit of a primer on the subject to help you to understand more:

If you're the kind of person who thinks about the future, then this is definitely the podcast for you!
We'll be exploring the big future trends and challenges that face us all, but also looking at what we can each do about them.
The future can be big and scary, but I believe that if we learn to understand what's coming and all do what we can to address those issues, then the future's bright!
