Well, here we are at the start of the first full week of the new year! How are the new resolutions, the new ways of thinking, and the new habits going?
If you are still dabbling your toes in the pool of change, and unsure if carrot juice, a yoga class, or a 5K will make the biggest difference… consider this:
Anything you would like to see improvement on, whether that is your health, your environment, the company you keep, energy, etc. it all starts in the same place: Remove what doesn’t belong.
Take a look at this in all areas of life, and see what space you can free up so you have lots of room for abundance, joy, and the next exciting adventure!
With space clearing gratitude,
Michelle Dutro

Happy New Year!
Before you commit to your 2020 goals, make sure that you aren't limiting yourself by what you think is impossible.
In this episode, I discuss the impact of Roger Bannister who on May 6th, 1954 was the first person in history to break the 4-minute mile barrier. While this was certainly history-making, what followed changed the way we look goal setting and what is possible for us all. You see, 46 days later Roger's record was broken by John Landy. And in the decades that have followed, beating the goal of running a 4-minute mile has been done more than a thousand times.
Runners didn't miraculously start training better, nor did they find faster shoes... they simply BELIEVED they could do it because it had been done, so they now knew it was possible.
What goal have you not gone after, because it's your version of the "impossible 4-minute mile"? Take a second look at what you think is just out of reach and reconsider what is possible. By summoning up our own internal Roger Bannister, we have the ability to change our entire reality.
Start visualizing, by thinking AND feeling what it will be like to accomplish your greatest goal. Roger knew that if he did this every day, breaking the 4-minute mile would undoubtedly happen. We all have this ability. Let's make 2020 the year of unlimited possibility!
Cheers to making the 20's your best year and decade ever!

Hello and almost Happy New Year!
I thought long and hard about how I wanted this kick-off show to go. Better said, how I want this next decade and chapter to go. One thing that's certain, is that I will be transparent about the good and bad, and do everything in my power to help you to believe that anything is possible.
For that to happen we need to challenge what we believe to be true, what holds us back from pursuing our dreams, and the stories we hold on to about ourselves and others. As we move forward I will focus more on people's struggles and hurdles they had to overcome to get where they are now so we can all see we are more alike than we realize. And that a worthy road, is rarely an easy one.
For this next decade to be a success, we are going to have to leave some useless baggage at the door. I hope you join me in this journey and allow in what's possible and to let go of beliefs that never served us and likely weren't real in the first place.
I look forward to sharing the unlimited possibilities of the future with you - as we roar into the '20's together!
With gratitude for you still being here!

Happy Mother’s Day!
I am blessed to have an amazing mom, and I am the mom of two incredible daughters. And as much as I look forward to this day each year, there has not been a time where I really had to reevaluate what it means to be a “great mom” as I have this week.
In this episode I have the opportunity to read an article from a newspaper written about my mother, that had me realizing just how cool she is. I don’t think “cool” is a word most of use to describe our parents, but she is absolutely, amazingly cool. Further, I have spent time realizing that while my daughters will always be my daughters, they also are grown up now. Thus I don’t get the time with them I once did, which at times is hard. (Which you will hear, it was hard for me just to get through this episode.)
If you are fortunate enough to get to spend Mother’s Day with your mom or your children… make this day the most special one yet. Be present with the people you love, and recognize just how incredibly amazing they really are.
With Gratitude for all the moms out there,
Michelle Dutro

Mindfulness. There are magazines, blogs, books, and hundreds of courses available on this topic. I have also recorded several podcasts about this, as well. Yet while I was in London at a conference, I had the opportunity to view mindfulness in a whole new light.
I believe most people have the ability to be kind and considerate when things are going well. It’s easy to be mindful of others, when there’s no consequence to us. But what happens when being mindful to someone else, has a perceived negative consequence to us? What if being mindful means giving up something that you think you deserve, in order to honor someone else, who is also just as deserving? Are we so ready to be mindful, in that moment?
This is the focus of today’s podcast. I don’t believe we can truly call ourselves mindful, when there’s a convenience requirement attached to it. With every situation, we have the opportunity to decide how we will show up. Making the decision to show up for the betterment of another, especially when it means stepping aside, is the goal of anyone dedicated to living mindfully. Be that example today, for someone else.

I think most people when faced with a situation that feels much larger than us, have felt, “What impact can I truly have?” So we go through life believing that our thoughts, our words, or our actions, have no consequence in the big picture. If that’s the case, then what is, collective consciousness?
Here’s one definition, so that we are all on the same page:
Collective consciousness (sometimes collective conscience or conscious) is a fundamental sociological concept that refers to the set of shared beliefs, ideas, attitudes, and knowledge that are common to a social group or society. The collective consciousness informs our sense of belonging and identity, and our behavior.
This is the set up to today’s podcast as I interview my new friends who are here with me at One World Academy. I ask them what their greatest take-aways are with their time here, and the impact of really understanding the impact of our “state” will be, as they each move forward through life.
In the order of appearance:
Rob Bowler, Denise Osores, Suzana Oliveira, and Michele Lowchinovscy Santos.

I think it’s fair to say that most people would consider themselves being “present” whenever they are in a conversation with someone. They were there, they heard that the other person was talking, so they can check that box. However, there is a big difference between hearing someone and truly listening. In this episode “being present” is highlighted as one of the key focus points at “The Field of Transformation” course here at One World Academy.
In our fast paced world of multi-tasking and 10X’ing everything we do, we have lost the art of communication with another. This has cost us relationships with others and more importantly, the relationship we have with ourself.
This week is “Meditation Teacher Training.” I look forward to bringing you one more podcast here from India, before heading to London.

Now, for our pet of the week:
Meet handsome Benz (A1496100)! This sweet guy is very friendly, playful and affectionate. He loves having your attention and getting lots of cuddles from you! He came into the shelter with an injury to his leg, but our awesome vet staff removed it and he is feeling much better than before and doing great! Only having three legs does not slow Benz down, he is very energetic and full of life. He would love an active family that will spend time playing with him, and give him all the love he deserves! Help this wonderful kitty find the fur-ever home of his dreams!
