Part na ng video games ang mga boss at boss fights. Kadalasan, bago ka makapunta sa susunod na stage, kailangan mo muna matalo 'yung boss ng stage na 'yon. Pati na rin sa last level or final stage bago mo matapos 'yung game, kailangan mo muna matalo 'yung final boss. And the feeling of finally defeating a certain boss after x numbers of tries ay priceless.

Noon, kapag nagyayabang tayo sa mga kaibigan or kaklase na natapos natin si Hunk or Tofu sa OG Resident Evil 2, walang ibang way para patunayan maliban sa ipakita 'yung save file or laurin ulit mismo 'yung game habang nanonood sila. Wala tayong way para i-confirm kung talaga bang natapos ng kapwa gamer natin 'yung Dodge Ligtning or Chocobo Racing sa Final Fantasy X or kung na-100% niya talaga 'yung game na siya mismo ang gumawa.

Ngayon dahil sa Trophy, madali na lang lahat. Madali nang i-check kung talk shit lang ba si tropa o talagang totoo 'yung kinu-kwento niya. Pero hindi lang diyan natatapos ang pag-collect ng Trophies sa game. Hindi lang basta digital proof ito ng achievements natin sa mga larong natapos. Mas malalim at mas malawak na mundo pa ito sa ecosystem ng PlayStation.

Bilang gamer sa Pinas, o kahit nga hindi gamer e, napaka imposibleng wala kang experience sa computer shop. Kahit 'yung simpleng:

 "Ate pa-print po"

"Sige, sa PC 5 na lang. Paki-save sa my docs"

or

"Kuya, i-extend ko na po 'yung sa PC 3 nang limang piso"

or

"Ate, saang PC may Ragna?"

At marami pang iba.

Kung batang 90's ka at pinanganak noong mid to late 80s, tayo 'yung unique na generation na naka-experience ng transition mula sa mundong walang internet hanggang sa nagkaroon. Mula sa mabentang mga console rentals at computer shops hanggang sa, ito na nga, malungkot man aminin pero hanggang sa namatay narin ito at hindi naging mabenta sa tao. So tara, mag-reminisce tayo ng mga memories natin sa computer shop.

The Last of Us is Naughty Dog's magnum opus. A game that is master class in story-telling and character development. The writing in this game is so good you will empathize with the characters. It's a roller coaster ride of emotions that are amplified by the actors who portrayed Ellie and Joel in a post-apocalyptic world combined with Gustavo's music that is calming, melancholic, harrowing and hopeful. This game is a symphony of thought-provoking story, atmospheric music and brutal game play. One of the greatest video game ever made.
