This week I wanted to touch base on a few topics going around the sports world right now: 

- NBA Playoffs without Lebron - the "changing of the guard" in the NBA

- NFL Off Season Moves

- Fans & Sports. Where we draw the line for fans at games. How can we remain competitive but not take things to a personal level where it is "over the top?" 

I will give my insight on the matter and explain what I think is the problem with fans saying what they want. What needs to be done so the fans can still create that homecourt / homefield advantage without having them create a contreversial moment with certain things said to the players?

While I was in Nashville, TN for the past 10 days, I realized there is a ton of sports influence in this city that is regularly known for Music. 

I'm sharing with you some of the things that I learned in today's show. My goal next time I go there is to watch a Hockey game because that night of the Predators game was pretty incredible to see. There were so many people at that game and at the bars afterwards, and I've never been to a city where Hockey has such a major following. 

I learned about the history of baseball and the influence Soccer has in Nashville. All of this was amazing for me.

Derek sits in to talk with us today about the mental health side of sports. It's a topic not a lot of people bring up. We'll hear from the man himself who has years of experience not only as a player but as a coach and counselor, and see how much mental toughness plays a part in athletics. 

He played soccer in college and now is a coach helping the youth. He gets to see the pressures that our young athletes go through and he'll discuss with us a few different things we can be looking out for so we can help our youth as they battle with anxiety and pressure in sports.
