Exodus 34; How can a rebel be forgiven? The answer has everything to do with the character of God. Exodus 25-31; How can fallen sinners approach a holy God? Sometimes in our culture today, we recklessly approach God in whatever way we feel. The Bible doesn't leave to our imaginations the ways we worship. We don't approach God our own way, we approach God in the way that he commands. Exodus 25; Why does God seem so rigid? As Israel begins to build the Tabernacle, all of these details seem too much. It's as if God is a powerful and untouchable figure who we'd shy away from sooner than run to as Father. Exodus 24; How is it that humans have a relationship with God? In the ancient world sovereign kings would make a covenant with smaller kingdoms. In this covenant blessings and stipulations would be explained. God makes a covenant with his people and as a symbol of the covenant they are sprinkles in blod. The problem is that the people cannot keep the stipulations. In Christ, a better covenant is made in which Jesus meets all requirements and delivers all belssings.

Exodus 20-23; Israel is now freed from slavery and called to be a people under the Word of God. In this sermon, Joel Kurz asks the question, "Are you under the Word?" Our distinction comes, not from our own ways, but from God's Word. All of life is to be lived directed by his Word, so that we migth be a distinct people.
