Dan Gill opens up this quick Saturday power hour with a quick discussion on the weather as it may finally be the cold weather we've heard so much about and some new trends regarding falling leaves in your yard before opening up the phone lines to cover when you should be moving satsuma trees, camellias, the tell-all sign for picking fruit off of your citrus trees, and more!

Dan dives into the lines to hear from WWL callers about if you should wait to transplant a satsuma tree to this Spring, and when you should be picking lemons off the tree.

Dan discuss how the Winter weather is finally arriving as October and most of early November have been unusually hot but alas, we are getting cooler and some new trends he is seeing regarding leaf pickup and the benefits that leaves have in using them for our gardens and beds after they've fallen.

On today's shows, Dan discusses how vital it is to start preparing now for the colder weather that will be coming sometime soon as our tropical plants can be susceptible to freeze when temps get low before diving into the phone lines to help WWL callers with issues such as protecting the head of a cauliflower after it blooms, a community garden effort going on around Folsom, and some general rules to follow when dealing with weeds. Later on, we go over a bit of a botany lesson on the way that a plan takes in the suns energy for nutrition, pruning concerns for a satsuma tree, and being aware that your blueberry bushes will look a little worse for wear as we move to colder weather!
