Jeremy Lent is an research, author and founding president of the Liology Institute, a non profit organization in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to fostering a worldview that promotes future sustainability. The Institute relies on cutting edge system theory models combined with earlier ethical and wisdom traditions in order to better understand how our cultural patterns of thought have led modern civilization to its current crisis obstructing a sustainable planet. Jeremy was born in the UK and received a batchelors from Cambridge University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a former CEO and chairman of a public internet company. He is the author of "The Patterning Instinct: A Cultural History of Humanity's Search for Meaning", which explores the way humans have found and created meaning from ancient times to the present.
