Marjorie Cohn is professor emerita at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, a criminal defense attorney, and a former president of the National Lawyers Guild, who has specialized in international human rights, crimes such as torture and drone strikes, and US foreign policy. She is currently the deputy secretary general of the Bureau of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, having served as a legal observer in Iran. Marjorie has received many awards including the Peace Scholar of the Year Award and an Amnesty International Human Rights Defender award. She has served as a consultant for CBS news and a legal analyst for Court TV, and appears on BBC, MSNBC, CBS, NPR and Pacifica radio, and her articles regular appear in legal journals such the Fordham Law Review, the Hastings Law Journal and the National Law Journal, as well as Truthdig, Truthout, Commondreams, Counterpunch and other progressive news sites. Marjorie's most recent book is "Drones and Targeted Killing: Legal, Moral and Geopolitical Issues", which includes a forward by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
