Read John 10:1-10
1) What were some ways that the religious leaders, especially the Pharisees kept people from having a genuine relationship with God?
2) Has there ever been a time in your life when you have withheld love to people or chosen to exclude them from God’s Kingdom based on them not looking like you, holding different views than you, or struggling with different sins than you? Do you look at people differently now? Why?
3) How can we make sure that the leaders we follow are not spiritual robbers and thieves?
4) How would you describe the rich, full, abundant life of a Christ follower to a non-believer? What does that life look like when you are experiencing trouble, persecution or hardship?
5) How is Jesus the gate to relationship with God, community with others, and salvation from sin?
6) If Jesus has been your gate to salvation, share your salvation story with a friend or with the members of your group. If you have not allowed him to be your gate to salvation and are ready to, please talk to one of the pastors, elders or your small group leader.
