The Gathering

Have you ever wanted God to give you a sign?  Something, anything to help you know which direction to go or what decision to make in life.  The Bible is full of God offering people signs that help guide, direct, or teach them.  Whether a burning bush, the parting of a sea, or appearing as a stranger, God’s signs and wonders have always shown up in our lives.  And they still do. In this series, we’ll explore how to detect and discern those signs within our lives today.

When we think Christmas, we think music. We start the season by listening to non-stop coverage of festive tunes on radio stations, we gather around to listen to carolers who march door to door and we hold our candles high on Christmas Eve. The magic and the meaning of Christmas is found in its melodies. In this series, we will explore the power of Christmas through some of the most popular songs we sing about it.

To be OPEN is at the heart of who we are called to be. It takes a willingness to listen, to be disrupted and to make space for new things. Before we can grow, we must be OPEN.
A year ago we shared a vision for ministry and people responded with commitments to participate in that vision through giving to OPEN. Today we remind ourselves of that vision, celebrate how far we’ve come this past year, point to and talk about what lies ahead, and reconfirm our commitment to OPEN as we invite others to join in.
