Explaining the Holy Spirit to someone and experiencing the Holy Spirit are two completely different things.

It’s like trying to explain to someone the experience of falling in love. Where would you begin???

It’s like telling someone about Jesus. Knowing about Jesus and knowing Jesus are two completely different things.

As a teacher I do not just want to tell you about the Holy Spirit, I want you to experience the Holy Spirit. Taste and see!

Paul recognized the problem of a powerless religion but fortunately, he also recognized the solution. “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.” 1 Cor. 14:1

Paul is telling us to increase our desire for the supernatural power of God to flow in our lives. It is not a desire which sits still, it is a desire that pursues, hunts, longs for.
