Every world religion believes that if we can somehow do right (at least more than we do wrong), then we will be made right, but in the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus teaches us that faith in Him is exactly the opposite. In Christianity, we can do nothing to earn our salvation, and any good that we may do is the result of salvation, not the reason for it. Instead of doing right hoping to be made right, we're made right so we can do right!
