Acknowledging Jesus as the supreme head of the church is important to The Gathering as we seek to make more disciples and plant more churches for the glory of God. He’s the boss of the church, and our leadership teams, the elders and deacons and pastors, must submit to Jesus before they can lead the church into what God has planned for us.

We are forgetful people and we need reminders. As we begin a new year, Pastor Phil walks through Isaiah 53 and reminds us of the significance of the cross and that Jesus was born to die.

Jesus was convinced. It was a glorious night that changed the course of history. It was a night of miracles, when God sent his Son to be our Saviour. It was the night when love was born, and now God’s love is available to all who trust in His Son Jesus.

Children are usually magnanimous when it comes to forgiveness. They give and receive forgiveness easily. Maybe that’s why Jesus said unless we become like a child we cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Forgiveness is critical!

You can use a 50-cent theological word like omnipresence to state the fact that God is present everywhere at all times.
