This Sunday we dedicate two beautiful baby girls to the Lord, so Pastor Garth takes advantage of this special occasion to teach on the family, using Deuteronomy 6:4-9 as the primary text.

In this last message in the mini-series on biblical eldership, Pastor Garth tackles the remaining three distinguishing features of New Testament elders.

Last week we answered the question “What does an elder do?” And this week Pastor Garth deals with the question “Who Can Be An Elder?” Who can serve? What qualifications does the Bible lay down for men who serve as elders in the local church?

In the second half of the evening, Pastor Garth spoke on 1 Peter 1 and the call to be holy men, which is based on what Jesus accomplished on the Cross and the power of the indwelling Spirit of Christ.

In the first message of our men’s event, Pastor Aaron took 2 Corinthians 1:20 (For all the promises of God find their Yes in him) and brought a powerful message about the power of “Yes!” in Christ.

As we come to 1 Peter 5, serving as the last message in the series on First Peter and the first message in the series on Biblical Eldership, Peter is ready to sign off and say goodbye. He gives some last minute instructions to the church, not the least of which is a charge to elders.
