Because we are designed by God, we must look for him to provide everything we need. Too often we try to be self-sufficient, taking on God's character of needing nothing, but that is not how we were designed to live.

Through the prophet Amos, God reveals that the heart of worship matters more than the act itself. Any form of worship not rooted in a desperate, authentic love of God, even in church, is idolatrous.
