The Geeky Waffle

Welcome to Hot Muppets Summer! Join Candace and Bri as they explore the reasons behind the cancellation of the 2015 Muppets TV show. This video breaks down the key factors that led to the show's untimely end after just one season. They cover everything from the shift in tone and style to audience and ratings issues.

This extensive discussion and review touch upon the animated movie Wish, which commemorates Disney's 100th anniversary. Candace and Arezou share our initial excitement, expectations, and disappointment after viewing the film (multiple times). We go over the storytelling, character arcs, and music, as well as its animation style and thematic messages.

We also offer another version of the movie with the concept art of Star Boy and his romance with Asha.

Arezou is joined by Alexandra Monir, author of Realm of Wonders to talk about the third book in the Queen's Council series, and what it was like getting the call to write a Princess Jasmine book. They also talk about the use of Persian influences in the story, and blending the world of Aladdin together with 1001 Nights.

Arezou and Candace are joined by their friend Tommy to discuss the story behind the Disneyland Paris' Haunted Mansion: Phantom Manor. They talk about the history, the refurb changes, the fictional backstory, and who is better, Constance Hatchaway or Melanie?

Check out Tommy's site http://Radasheck.com and follow him on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tommy_stella

Disney's summary: Tucked away in the corner of Frontierland stands Phantom Manor, once home to one of Thunder Mesa's founding families. Residents steer clear of the dilapidated house, claiming it to be haunted, but any intrepid Disneyland Park visitors who dare to enter will soon discover its terrible secrets.

The manor's owner, Henry Ravenswood, cherished his only daughter, Melanie, who attracted the attention of four different men... each of whom came to a mysterious and untimely end. Rumour said her father didn't think they were good enough for his darling girl. Some say he had a hand in the young men's disappearances, but nothing has ever been proven. One thing is sure: the bride-to-be has been waiting many long years for her wedding day... and will likely wait for hundreds more!

Before Star Wars Celebration we made a stop Disneyland Paris. We compare the biggest differences between this park and it's American's counterpart.

Candace and Britt went to the Hollywood premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. They discuss how the movie works as a conclusion to the franchise, the de-aging technology, and Harrison Ford's love of the character.

Thank you Lucasfilm for the invite.
