This is the first episode of the new year and Sean, Greg, and Jason talk about a gift that Sean and Jason received from Greg (amazing gift). The conversation then moves to where the guys were when the year 2000 came (how has it been 26 years). Then, like usual, the topic changes to board games (now that's a transition). Growing up as Generation X we were the generation of the arcade, weren't we. Spending rolls of quarters on Street Fighter or Mrs. Pac Man. Sean, Greg, and Jason chat about heading to the corner store with their money made on their paper route to play arcade games and pinball machines. It was just nice to get back together for a chat after we've been off for a while. Where does the time go?

Growing up in the 80's and 90's we had some great buffet restaurants, didn't we. A big one in Western Canada was Bonanza (like what Golden Corral is in the US). All you can eat salad bar and who could forget the awesome ice cream machine. Sean, Greg, and Jason reminisce about Bonanza, the all you can eat pizza at Pizza Hut, and the elusive KFC Buffet. This one will make you hungry!!! 

This week Sean, Greg, and Jason discuss the greatness of sitcom television in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. From Three's Company to Mork and Mindy. Cheers to Friends and quite a few in between. They also talk about some of the theme songs that hooked you right in to the show. Finally, they wrap up by talking about their graduation tuxedos from back in the day. Enjoy!!!

Most of the bands that we grew up with now are touring smaller cities and smaller venues...advantage Gen X. Sean, Greg, and Jason talk about Greg seeing one of his favourite bands growing up, in a smaller venue last week. From there the guys go on to talk about music videos on Much Music (Canadian MTV), trying to record of the radio, LimeWire on dial-up internet, one hit wonders that they bought the whole album for, and the resurgence of vinyl records. A lot about music and a little of everything...like usual. Enjoy!!!

With the passing of legendary actor Val Kilmer this week, Sean, Greg, and Jason talk about some of the iconic actors we were fortunate to see growing up in the 80's and 90's from Bruce Willis to Arnold Schwarzenegger. The guys also talk a bit of sour candy from the 80's and 90's like Warheads...so sour it almost burnt the tongue.  Enjoy!!! 

Growing up, most Saturday mornings for us involved plunking ourselves in front of the TV and watching some of the best cartoons we can remember. From Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes to the Transformers, to He-man and She-ra, we had some great ones to choose from. Sean, Greg, and Jason delve into their past and talk about some of the most memorable cartoons of our generation. Grab some cereal and enjoy!!!

Us as Generation X were in the prime of some of the best wrestling characters, events, even toys. Greg, Sean, Jason, and special guest Troy, delve into what we knew as the WWF, now WWE, Stampede Wrestling, and so much more. Some of the great wrestlers of our time were discussed as well as where the love of wrestling started for each of us. Enjoy!!!

When we were growing up we all had one or a few of those awesome lunch kits with the cool thermos in them, maybe a Star Wars one, possibly a Garfield, or who could forget the Six Million Dollar Man. We also had the simple lunch, which usually involved bologna or hot dogs wrapped in a piece of bread. Wow have times changed!!!

In this episode, the first of 2025, Sean, Greg, and Jason discuss the importance of having the movie experience in a small town movie theatre and some of their memorable moments as kids waiting to see some of the big movies when they came to the big screen. Also, the team went off on a tangent on how we in Generation X had so many great movie franchises and hope that our kids get the same memories when they are our age. Enjoy!!!
