The political situation surrounding feminism, social justice, and the zeitgeist is bowling over evangelicalism and threatens to split the Southern Baptist Convention in half.  Christians are terribly confused about the Marxist standard of justice (social justice) and a biblical standard of justice.  Must Christians support government welfare programs and the redistribution of the wealth? What is justice, biblically defined?

The Christian thinker, Francis Schaeffer presciently described "The Great Evangelical Disaster" in 1984 before he died.   Evangelicalism shrinks back from confrontation because evangelicals have found a single ethic and they tenaciously hold to it - T.O.L.E.R.A.N.C.E.  The problem is not just the refusal to confrontation, but it's a basic, basic flaw in the worldview.   As it now represents the new flagship for evangelicalism, we laser in on Hillsong - its roots and its sovereignty-of-man worldview. 

Short term missions trip are en vogue for American churches looking for something to do for their teens (and hoping they might just get saved on the trip).  But, now a new campaign is trying to stop these “harmful” missions trips to orphanages especially.  What’s the first requirement for missions, before anybody even thinks about going on a missions trip?  We lay down the most essential pre-requisite.  And, also we offer general principles for charitable giving for missions and international needs.

Here is a story of the nanny state in Kansas City squelching private charities who are trying to reach out to the homeless. Then, there is the beastly state in Scotland mandating indoctrination in sexual perversion for all kids, including those in Catholic schools. Why must the Catholic schools comply to this? That is our question. Christians should never worship the state, or offer sacrifices to Caesar or Moloch, for that matter. Are these the end times, and are Christians going to submit themselves to the "all-powerful" state?

When godless men lead, they will take God’s Name in vain in a very public manner. Although there are many other things wrong with them, this is what gets them in trouble more than anything else. The basic problem with America is that Americans take God’s Name in vain, and they do not fear God. Is it really that simple?   David French warns of the post-religious right as well as the post-religious left.  The pride, the anger, the vitriol just gets worse and worse with godless men.  We are in trouble for this very reason.
