The Generations Radio Program

The new Axis has formed. But, what are the contrasts in values represented by both sides — China/Russia/North Korea and the US/Europe. Authoritarians take the first position. On the other side we find divisive woke, sexual perversion, feminism, individualist ethical autonomy, and birth implosions. Are these values worth fighting for? Europe has lost the will to carry on a civilization by the birth canal. What does this imply for the battlefield? These are critical geopolitical questions. Ultimately, the West is confronting a Deuteronomy 28:25 challenge right now. We take up Scotland as a prime example of the decline of the West on this edition of the program.

Prepare your fields, and then afterward, “build thine house.” Young men are not launching much these days, but dads can make a huge difference here. Here is a thoughtful and critical conversation, with four dads in studio, on how to launch our sons into business, marriage, and the calling God has for them. How will your son attain a vision for life, direction, equipping, sobriety, maturity, and a readiness to embrace the responsibilities of life? How is he going to launch?

Cracker Barrel is just the latest company that just can’t seem to keep its list of virtues up to date for its virtue signaling campaigns. But what is this virtue signaling and why are companies getting behind the transgender insanity with such enthusiasm? Why would they risk the health of their companies to keep a small fraction of the transgender community happy? We dig into Chat GPT’s worldview of existentialism, and define insanity biblically.

The number of people on psychotropic drugs is high nowadays. The world around is in constant need of catharsis, via drugs, music, and entertainment. What is the role of music in a Christian's life? The Bible encourages Christians to admonish each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, but what about secular music? Is it okay for Christians to listen to this kind of music? Even when rejecting the lyrics, can a Christian be overcome by the milieu that surrounds pop and folk culture?

He was hated, maligned, and marginalized. His enemies kicked dirt over his grave. His own people turned on him.  He dared to discipline in a permissive society. He dared to defy the zeitgeist, and to take the battle to the devil’s back yard. He fought back against abortion and sexual perversion when everybody knew it would be a losing battle. He spent his wad advocating a highly marginalized homeschool movement, opposing godless public schools, and fighting abortion. He pushed for Christian legal defense organizations in an anti-Christian age. Dr. James Dobson was the man for the day — a quarterback fighting for every inch he could get, when pushed back to his own 5 yard line. He fought for a country through Roe v. Wade, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell. He fought to save a civilization. . . a losing battle. He lost the pro-life plank. He lost the pornography battle. He lost the war on sexual perversion. But the point is. . .he fought with courage the whole way.  Here is our tribute to Dr. James Dobson (1936-2025).

This pill can kill without the woman knowing it. This pill can be mailed across state lines. This pill has already killed 500 million kids. . . soon to be 1 billion by 2030. Is this wrongful death or just plain murder? Chief responsibility for this holocaust lies at the feet of 4 people — all atheists and agnostics who turned away from the faith of their fathers. Will governments rein in the devastation, or will God have to do it?

Children are born in sin, but God also calls Christian children holy. Parents have a duty to rebuke and correct, but it needs to be done in love. How can parents discipline their children when they violate God's law and disobey? What are the differences between discipline of a five-year-old and discipline of a rebellious teenager? These questions are addressed in this edition of Discipleship for Dads.

The liberal arts department heads are some of the most liberal people on the college campus. This makes the study of literature, philosophy, and worldview some of the most subversive subjects to study in school, whether this be in K-12 or in college. Parents want their children to be well-rounded, but what does it mean to be well-rounded? Does it mean to study with an arrogance and blindness of heart and mind, or is it to have a proper perception of every aspect of reality, based in God's Word? How can Christians study these sticky topics without falling head-over-heels in love with all the false worldviews presented in literature and media today?

What does the Bible say about recreation and play? It's good to enjoy God and the gifts He has given to us. However, where is the balance between work and play? It's important to remember that these gifts will come and go, but God doesn't. We should be thanking God for his good gifts that we get to enjoy, instead of making idols out of them.

Global population is looking like it will lose 70% with birth rate heading toward 1.8. Is there any correcting this trend? The Muslims and Communists are unable to do it by sheer coercion.  The mechanical womb may be the only hope for humanist humanity.  But what about Jesus’s people? Will anybody deny themselves and follow Jesus among Christians?  Will Christians follow Christ?  This is the only hope for humanity now.
