Welcome to the livestream of Teach to Reach 10, a groundbreaking two-day conference bringing together over 21,000 health workers from more than 80 countries to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and drive global health action.
Teach to Reach is not just another conference - it’s a movement that recognizes the power of local knowledge and action to solve global health challenges.
By amplifying the voices and experiences of frontline health workers, Teach to Reach is reshaping the global health dialogue and promoting locally-led solutions.
Our first morning kicks off with a warm-up and tutorial, followed by the inaugural Local Leaders & Partner Forum.
This historic session marks the opening of the Teach to Reach partnership model to local organizations, acknowledging their vital role in driving sustainable development.
Grassroots leaders will share their stories, challenges, and innovations, offering a window into the realities and potential of community-driven action.
The opening ceremony will set the stage for the transformative discussions to come, as we celebrate the power of peer learning and collective action in global health.
A highlight of the morning will be the plenary session on climate change and health, where health workers from communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis will share their firsthand experiences and insights.
Through their powerful stories and responses to thought-provoking questions, these local experts will paint a vivid picture of the urgent health impacts of climate change and the innovative strategies communities are using to build resilience.
Global health leaders will join as Guides on the side, listening and engaging in this critical dialogue.
After a networking break, we’ll turn our attention to the fight against neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).
In partnership with Uniting to Combat NTDs, health workers from NTD-endemic regions will share their experiences, challenges, and successes in tackling these diseases that affect the world’s most marginalized communities.
We’ll explore the devastating impact of NTDs, innovative prevention strategies, the power of community engagement, and the emerging threat of climate change on NTD transmission.
The morning will conclude with a focus on ending malaria, as health workers from affected communities share their insights on the challenges, successes, and opportunities in rolling back this deadly disease.
We’ll delve into lessons learned from community engagement and behavior change strategies, the need for equitable access to interventions, and the path towards the ambitious goal of malaria eradication.
Throughout the morning, you’ll witness the unique power of Teach to Reach’s peer learning model, as health workers share practical insights and strategies grounded in their real-world experiences.
By leveraging this collective wisdom, Teach to Reach is fostering a new paradigm in global health - one that is driven by those closest to the challenges.
So join us for this historic livestream as we kick off Teach to Reach 10, a conference that is not just about sharing knowledge, but about igniting a movement of health worker collaboration, leadership, and locally-led action for global change.
Together, we’ll explore, learn, and be inspired to build a healthier, more equitable future for all.
