Lightning Chat about Human Resources for Health with Catherine Kane (World Health Organization)

Lightning chats are rapid-fire Q&A sessions with a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Their goal is to:

- help national and sub-national immunization professionals to understand what is new and different and what this means for their work; and

- provide them with basic information and relevant resources.

Yet despite tremendous progress, far too many people around the world – including nearly 20 million infants each year – have insufficient access to vaccines.

In some countries, progress has stalled or even reversed, and there is a real risk that complacency will undermine past achievements.

To address these challenges over the next decade, a new global vision and strategy titled ‘Immunization Agenda 2030: A Global Strategy to Leave No One Behind (IA2030)’ has been endorsed by the World Health Assembly.

In Experience Sharing session, a Member presents their challenge and the issues they face.

The entire group is asked to share their experience to help solve the problems.

This will be done through the use of the Ideas Engine, a local innovation sourcing platform for sharing practices and ideas.

Starting on 21 March, Members have kicked off a four-week peer learning exercise to develop situation analysis of their local challenge.
