Live from the Future of America Conference!
In this special live episode, Daniel sits down for a deeply heartfelt conversation with Pat Ware. In addition to being the President and C.E.O. of the Ware Development Group, Inc., Pat has taught and spoken across the globe, served in 6 presidential administrations, and received numerous awards for her work in the arts, economic development, and in the health arena. Growing up as a black woman during segregation in the American south, Pat has a unique perspective on racism, justice, and racial healing in the U.S.
Stories include: The time Pat got Willem Dafoe to take her picture on a film set (because she didn't know who he was!), the calling that Pat's adopted grandmother spoke over her life when she was 4 years old, and why she chose to move into the inner city community to bring about lasting change and revitalization.
Note: Due to Pat's multifaceted work and packed schedule, she is not very active online. However, if you want to get in touch, email [email protected] and we will do our best to pass your message along.

In this episode, Daniel sits down with the multi-talented Elissa Kruse. They talk about Elissa's journey from GenJ student and campaign volunteer to working full time with HSLDA and GenJ. They also share some insider details about the pivot to The Future of America Conference once iGovern 2020 had to be cancelled. In addition to her other roles, Elissa is a leader and speaker at GenJ's iGovern camps and has a big heart for students and ministry.
Other topics include: The story of how Daniel and Elissa first met at a New Year's party when Daniel was running for president of his GenJ Club, the stresses of being the Treasurer of a GenJ Club, and how, when Elissa was born, Bill Clinton's election may have been what sent her mom into labor!
Note: This episode was recorded right before the Future of America Conference, but post-production was not finished until after the event. We left in most of the conference discussion for context and insight into how the GenJ team preps for events.

In this episode, Daniel sits down with the President of Americans for Prosperity, Tim Phillips. They talk about America's role as a land of hope and opportunity. They also talk about how Tim got his start in politics and the many battles he faced before he ever had his first political win. Tim is a favorite speaker at GenJ's iGovern camps and is a legendary advocate for freedom and individual rights at every level of influence and power in the United States.
Other topics include: Tim's experience as a congressional Chief of Staff, his go-to Dairy Queen order, and how he parted ways with his parents' politics because of a candidate named, you know, Ronald Reagan. Tim has a way of talking about the promise of America that will warm your heart and inspire you to action.
ALSO: Be sure to listen all the way through because Tim blows Daniel's mind by performing part of a Twenty One Pilots song live in the studio!!

In this episode, Daniel sits down with co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation, Ryan Bomberger. They talk about the creative work The Radiance Foundation does to affirm the value and purpose of every human life. They also talk about Ryan's powerful and personal story of being adopted and why he believes that he is called to serve as a bridge and a voice of reconciliation in the face of racial tension. Ryan has consistently been one of the favorite speakers at GenJ's iGovern Leadership Camps, and we are so excited to have him on the show today.
Other topics include: The time Ryan covered the city of Atlanta, Georgia, in 60 pro-life billboards, why Ryan doesn't subscribe to the Black Lives Matter movement, and how he became an Emmy award-winning artist. This is a powerful episode and one that is sure to get you thinking and inspire important conversations.
A note for families listening with younger kids: As Ryan openly shares about the circumstances of his birth, adoption, and life work as a voice for the voiceless, the conversation gets real. The topics of rape, racism, and abortion all come up in this powerful testimony of God's redemption and calling.

Other topics include, what inspired 12-year-old Glenn to campaign for President George W. Bush, what he's been reading during lockdown, his experience growing up as a pastor's kid, and many more topics that range from serious to hilarious (i.e. Glenn and Daniel's take on March Madness).

In this episode, Daniel talks with GenJ's Deputy Director, Jeremiah Lorrig, about his transition from Colorado to DC as a college student and how that led him to getting involved in politics and intersecting with GenJ. They also discuss the intersection of faith and politics and how to engage with people who disagree with you.
Other topics include, JRR Tolkien, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Jeremiah's reflections on the first GenJ simulation he designed. (Also, we may or may not hear a few references to Jeremiah's cattle days!?!)

In today's episode, Daniel talks with Joel to get the inside scoop on what it's like to be a government official during the coronavirus lockdown. As most of the nation is working and learning from home, we have gotten familiar with what it's like to be on the 'private citizen' side of the lockdown. We found it to be a fresh and informative perspective and thought we'd share it with you!
We believe you'll find this conversation encouraging, inspiring, and possibly entertaining as well. If you enjoyed this episode, go ahead and give us a review and 5 star rating!
