The Geoholics

Aloha Geoholics! One of the many unplanned benefits of producing this podcast is that we have the unique opportunity to help out fellow geospatial professionals from across the globe. This episode is a great example of just that. The guys were joined by Christine Chaplin, GISP, Meyer Cummins, LS and Gwen Gervelis, LS representing their respective professional organizations being the Hawaii Geographic Information Coordinating Council, Hawaii Land Surveyor Association and Alaska Society of Professional Land Surveyors. The discussion loosely focused on the inherent differences of surveying Alaska & Hawaii and more importantly promoting the Pacific Rim Geospatial Conference taking place March 16 & 17 in beautiful Honolulu, Hawai`i! Music by Weezer. Mahalo!

Rob not only has Dana White on speed dial, but has established himself as a true professional, coach, and mentor. Calie strives to serve the woman of the sport and raise the evolution of female athletes to be a voice for the women who wish to become something greater than their past. Rob Emerson was quoted. Soooo many questions were answered during the recording of this show! The guys were joined this week by Tony Spicci, GISP CGMP. Tony currently serves as the Executive Director of the GIS Certification Institute. The GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) is a non-profit organization that provides the GIS community with a complete certification program, leading to GISP (Certified GIS Professional) recognition. To say he is an interesting human being is an understatement! Not only is Tony one of the most passionate people we've ever met as it pertains to GIS, he is also a licensed pyrotechnician, a founding member of Missouri Task Force 1: a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team and AND a sideline official (chain gang) for the Father Tolton Trail Blazers, the Mizzou Tigers and the Kansas City Chiefs. To confirm he is an official Geoholic, he also loves craft beer and bourbon! Dr. Nik joined the cast. ChatGPT was quoted with music by RUSH!!
