Regional champions in the house!

Traverse City Central varsity 1-doubles tennis team Isabella Fochtman and Kerri Berkey drop by the Get Around studio coming off their Division 1 regional championship last week. A fantastic and entertaining conversation, to say the absolute least. A MUST-LISTEN, in our humble opinion.

All of our tennis and our track and field regional champions get inducted into the Get Around Hall of Fame as our Athletes of the Week! We also put in two softball players and a "bull in a china shop" from Traverse City United. Finally, we end the episode with a round of "Would you rather ...?"

Fresh off the course and fresh off a win, Traverse City Central golfers Shea Harmeson and Cam Peters "swing" by the Get Around studio to talk about the second-ranked Trojans' success this season.

The Trojans' golf squad is not the only TC Central team brimming with winning talent this spring. James and Brendan talk about the success the Trojans are seeing on the baseball diamond, lacrosse field, soccer pitch and the track and field arena. They also discuss the Traverse City Pit Spitters' upcoming alternate identity night and their new name, the Cork Dorks, for that night.

Three more student-athletes, including two Elks and a Huskie, are inducted into the Get Around Hall of Fame as the athletes of the week. And to close the show, Brendan and James run down their ideal game 7, championship-winning moments.

A solid show from beginning to end as we welcomed in a pair of state semifinalists in Dylan Barnowski and Shawn Bramer from Lake Leelanau St. Mary. The pair of junior Eagles joined us from Florida, where they're at on spring break.

We wrap up the basketball postseason and talk about which teams made the most impressive run through the playoffs. We also reveal our boys and girls fantasy starting five in basketball.

We wrap the show with our retroactive Get Around Hall of Fame as we induct some of the winter sports athletes who just missed the cut earlier in the season. We also talk about what local sports teams we'd like to see get the Hard Knocks treatment after it was announced the Detroit Lions will be the subject of HBO's series next season.
